The Unemployment problem in Bangladesh
Unemployment means the state of being without any opportunity of earning one’s livelihood. If a person, be he a tiller of the soil, a worker in the field, a factory worker, a clerk and engineer, a scientist or a scholar, does not get any occupation by which the can maintain himself and his family, he must be said to be unemployed. And the problem of finding occupation for such people and for those who are under employed is the problem of unemployment.
Unemployment is a world-wide problem. No country can rightly boast that she is absolutely free from the problem of unemployment. In fact, unemployment is a common phenomenon in almost all countries of the world both developed and developing. In some countries it is so gigantic in stature and so vast in proportion that it may throttle them to death if proper and accurate steps are not taken to undermine its growth and development. This is why the governments all the world over are engaging their serious attention to see its end. Many ways are being devised to root it out. But will a time to come when their will no unemployment on the face of the earth?
The proportion of unemployment problem in Bangladesh has gone beyond bounds. The number of the uneducated and educated unemployed here have increased to such extent that the problem is not only a concern of the economics but also a great concern of the sociologists. However, there are various forms and causes of unemployment problem in Bangladesh.
